An idea to honor the victims of the wild fires in the Gatlinburg area has gained some momentum on social media.
Tennessee’s alternate Smokey gray uniforms feature helmets that have the outline of the Smoky Mountains on them.
With a bowl game coming up for the Vols, it’d be a great time to either break out the entire gray look, or even just wear the helmets with the mountains with another jersey and pants combination.
Tennessee will find out its bowl destination on Sunday, and there’s no word on if this will actually happen or not, but it seems like a great idea if the Vols can pull it off:
