There’s plenty of speculation about what big names Tennessee will hire to replace Butch Jones as the likes of Jon Gruden, Dan Mullen, Chip Kelly and others with proven success get thrown around.
And while the Vols don’t necessarily have to hire one of them for this to end up being a success, there are a few names they absolutely must avoid to make sure this hire isn’t the next Derek Dooley, Lane Kiffin or Butch Jones. These are the names John Currie needs to delete from his phone right now to make sure he doesn’t botch the biggest hire of his career.

What has Gruden done? He has not coached in sometime and being a TV commentator does not enhance his qualifications. I think we need somebody that bleeds orange, T Martin is my choice, he is young, successful, a Tennessee alumni, a national championship quarterback. He knows how to win!
