Josh Richardson signed a four-year, $42 million contract with the Miami Heat this September. That contract proved that the Heat had faith in their second-round pick to produce at a high level moving forward. And the former Vol showed why his NBA team had that faith in him on Friday.

Richardson put up a career-high 27 points in Miami’s 105-100 comeback victory over Charlotte on Friday night. Richardson was the leading scorer and played the most minutes for the Heat in the game.

But after the game, he was asked about his Alma Mater. And Richardson got excited.

During a nearly two-minute interview after the game, Richardson was asked about his play and his team’s comeback. But right at the end, Richardson was asked about the Vols’ decision to make Phillip Fulmer the athletics director.

And Richardson broke into song:

Richardson is averaging 9.6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.3 steals in 22 games for the Heat this year. He’s started all 22 games he’s played.
