Cade Mays Trashes Tennessee and other SEC Schools in Song

Via Mays on Twitter

Cade Mays’ recruitment is officially over. The five-star offensive tackle out of Knoxville signed with Georgia after a dramatic recruitment that saw him commit to the Vols back in 2015 only to decommit in November of this year.

Mays is now a Georgia Bulldog, and apparently his true feelings about Tennessee (and a few other SEC schools) are now known.

Per a video that was posted on Facebook and originally first shared on Twitter by Dan Harralson of Saturday Down South, Mays can be seen and heard singing about various SEC schools while listening to “Dixieland Delight” in a vehicle. And Tennessee is one of them, and he wasn’t saying nice things about the Vols.

You can watch the video yourself here and hear what Mays had to say. (WARNING: Video contains strong language)

Vol fans will likely take this as bulletin board material, and the football team themselves may as well. Mays was a fan favorite for years because of his legacy ties to Tennessee (his father played for the Vols) and because he committed so early in the 2018 class.

Now, however, Mays is quickly turning into a Vol villain. And he hasn’t even taken a snap of collegiate football yet.

  1. He’s overweight and slow. Definitely redshirted first year to eliminate the “baby fat”. Trey Smith would pancake him time and time again. Probably a 3 Star when you consider the lower high school division he played for.

  2. He will fit right in with those big mouths at Ga and we don’t need him if he feels that way about Tenn.

  3. Cade Mays totally lost my respect for him. Why would a young man at one time who was so totally devoted to UT all the sudden just go off on us. It doesn’t make sense, especially when the current coaching staff and AD went to see him and talk recruitment. I wonder what his father Kevin had to say to him after this episode. If it was me, I would kick his butt out in the street after trash talking my alma mater that way. Grow up kid!
