New Year’s Resolutions for Tennessee Athletics

The year 2017 was a rough one for Tennessee athletics. The Vols’ football team suffered their worst season in program history, the men’s basketball team failed to finish the season above .500, the Lady Vols basketball team got eliminated in the NCAA Tournament in just the second round, and the baseball team had to find a new head coach after another lackluster season.

About the only one of Tennessee’s main athletics programs who had a solid year was the softball team. They were supposed to have a rebuilding year but made it all the way to the Super Regionals of the Women’s College World Series.

This past year may not have been a great one for Tennessee athletics, but that just means there’s plenty of room to improve in 2018. And with that in mind, we’re taking a look at the New Year’s resolutions that Tennessee’s major athletics teams need to make for the upcoming year.

The Vols’ football, men’s basketball, Lady Vols basketball, baseball, and Lady Vols softball teams all need to make some improvements in 2018, and we know just what they need to do in order to take the right steps forward.
