The Vols have a loaded list of visitors for the first available weekend after the dead period ends. They will be hosting one current commitment and five other targets on this upcoming Friday. Eddie Smith and C’Bo Flemister were the first two to say they were coming. currently committed to Georgia Tech. Smith is a three-star corner out of Louisiana, and Flemister is currently committed to Georgia Tech.

But for Flemister, his commitment is anything but firm to the Yellow Jackets. He said in an interview after the early signing period finished up that Tennessee’s recruitment of him made him reconsider signing with Georgia Tech, and he was the only Yellow Jacket commit not to sign with them during the early signing period. He only ranks as the No. 117 running back in the 2018 class, but he ran for nearly 2,500 yards as a senior for Pike County High School in Zebulon, Georgia.

Smith is a big bodied corner who measures in at 6-foot-1, 178 pounds. He was once committed to TCU, but he reopened his recruitment on December 17th. The Vols have pursued him hard ever since, and now he’s set to visit Tennessee.

Peterson just committed to the Vols this past weekend, and he’s one of the highest-rated players scheduled to visit the Vols over the next month. He’s a four-star linebacker and a top-50 overall player in the class.

Tennessee just got a commitment from the No. 2 outside linebacker in the 2018 class thanks to Peterson. But Pruitt and his staff want more, and they’ll be hosting the No. 3 outside linebacker in this cycle when Walker visits along with Peterson. Walker, who also hails from Georgia like Peterson, was originally going to come to visit the Vols in early February. But the Alabama commit moved up his visit date and will come on the first available weekend.

Aiyuk is a junior college receiver who doesn’t have an offer from the Vols yet, but he’ll be looking to pick up that offer when he visits Tennessee. He currently holds offers from no other Power Five school and is just a two-star prospect. But Pruitt and his staff see something they like from him or they wouldn’t let him visit. His film shows off a very speedy receiver who also can block well on the perimeter.

Porter was offered by the Vols within Jeremy Pruitt’s first week on the job as head coach, and the big 6-foot-2 receiver was once committed to Notre Dame. He decommitted on December 9th, however, and Tennessee offered him just three days later. He’s a borderline three-star/four-star receiver who has an offer from Alabama, Georgia, Arizona State, Cal, and others.

Warren Thompson just tweeted out on Wednesday, January 10th that he’ll be visiting on the 12th as well. Thompson is a big, four-star receiver out of Florida who holds offers from several of the top programs across the country. The 6-foot-3 receiver is the No. 153 overall player in the country and the 29th-ranked receiver in the 2018 class. Florida State appears to be the favorite to land him, but getting him to visit is a huge step for Tennessee.
