Duke, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Penn State
Amadi is an interesting recruit for Tennessee at this stage in the process. He originally committed to Ole Miss in March, but has remained open to other schools along the way. He has visited Tennessee a few times this year and took an official visit to Knoxville on November 14th. Since that visit, there has been a lot of talk that the Vols may actually lead for Amadi – even though he remained committed to Ole Miss. Amadi decomitted from Ole Miss on Saturday, December 13th and announced that his final decision will be made between LSU and Tennessee. Amadi picked LSU over the Vols on Dec. 30 but then committed to Oregon on January 8th.
RTI Average: 3.5-stars
Amadi’s talent level is undeniable. He is quick to recognize plays and reacts accordingly with quick feet and a nose for the football. He is adept at locating the football in pass coverage and making a play to force the incompletion or come away with an interception. He routinely sinks out of his coverage to make plays on passes intended for other receivers and has a knack for getting big returns after he has secured the turnover. Amadi is also a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands, and a look on future return teams appears to be in his future wherever he ends up.
Amadi is an early enrollee that Butch Jones and company would love to steal away from Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss. With his announcement coming on the 15th, there isn’t be a long wait for Vol fans to see where he ends up.
