The Vols downed Iowa 45-28 in the Tax Slayer Bowl to move to 7-6 on the year – their first winning record since 2009 and first bowl win since 2008. You can view highlights from the first half here and second half highlights below.

Tennessee punted on the first drive of the 3rd quarter after Dobbs and Malone failed to connect on 3rd down.

Dobbs’ legs got the Vols going in the 3rd quarter.

He capped UT’s second drive of the half with an 11 yard TD run.

Iowa fumbled and the Vols recovered.

But a high pass from Dobbs couldn’t be hauled in by Pearson and was picked off on the next play.

Tennessee safety LaDarrell McNeil stopped a driving Iowa with this interception.

It was nice to see senior running back Devrin Young, back from a rib injury, make a few plays.

A face mask on a play to Pig Howard moved the Vols closer to the goal line.

Vol true freshman Aaron Medley moved to 20-26 on the year on field goal attempts after this make.

Iowa scored a couple of garbage time touchdowns which resulted in several on-side kicks. Todd Kelly Jr. recovered all three Iowa on-side attempts.

Joshua Dobbs, who earned game MVP honors, even helped give Butch Jones a Gatorade bath.

    Rocky Top. Enough said.
