9 .WR Cody Blanc
Why: Blanc tore his Achilles’ in fall camp and was unable to play in 2014.
Future Outlook: Blanc has appeared in 21 career games, mostly on special teams, but does have one career catch for 43 yards. With Tennessee’s deep group of returning receivers, it’s hard to say if he’ll be able to crack the rotation, but the Knoxville native has enough experience and size (6-3, 207) to see the field in a special teams capacity if nothing else. But 2014 also taught the Vols that there’s no such thing as too much depth at receiver, and Blanc would’ve been called on late in the season especially to help out if healthy, so if he comes back healthy and keeps developing, he could be a factor at some point.
