What’s Next for UT at Quarterback in 2016?

JaVaughn CraigJaVaughn Craig
Chattanooga, Tenn.
6-2, 185 pounds
★★★

Thoughts: Craig is an East Tennessee product, playing his high school football at McCallie in Chattanooga. He runs a lot of option concepts for the Blue Tornadoes and uses his running ability to set up his throws. But he can still sling it around a bit when he gets his feet set especially. He only holds offers from UTC and Mercer at this point, but has been looked at by numerous top programs, including Tennessee. He’s been to Knoxville multiple times, most recently checking in at Junior Day over the weekend. Even with no Tennessee offer at this point, we’ll see if anything changes after Kendall’s departure. He’s an option to keep in mind and there’s the possibility at least that he could be brought in as an ‘athlete’ as well if UT wanted to go that route. He’s listed as having a 4.59 40-yard dash on his Hudl profile.
