9. LaTroy Lewis/Dimarya Mixon
Yea, this may be cheating a bit, but both of these players have really benefitted from additional reps at defensive end this spring. With Curt Maggitt, Derek Barnett, Kyle Phillips and Corey Vereen all out with injuries, there were plenty of extra opportunities at defensive end, and Dimarya Mixon an LaTroy Lewis took full advantage. While there is little doubt that Barnett and Maggitt are likely to be the one-two starters at defensive end when August rolls around, the depth that Tennessee will have in 2015 along the defensive line looks to be formidable.
Steve stripling wants to use a deep rotation of players along the defensive line, and the development of players like Mixon and Lewis should help him do that this season.
