While all of Vol Nation was devastated by UT’s late collapse against Oklahoma, there’s some solace in the fact that Neyland Stadium was clearly as loud as it could’ve been and gave UT a true home-field advantage.
Perhaps no other clip shows that better than this one. Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is trying desperately to communicate with the rest of the offense and clearly everybody is confused and can’t hear him. He ends up just taking the snap and throwing a deep, uncatchable pass in what looks like a throw-away type of play.
