7. Replacing Maggitt
I’m not sure a guy like Curt Maggitt really can be replaced. Even if other players are just as talented as Maggitt, his leadership is unmatched and will be missed.
Still, it’s “next man up” as they say, and guys like Chris Weatherd, Kyle Phillips, Corey Vereen, and Austin Smith are going to need to step up. Especially as Tennessee prepares for SEC play, Maggitt’s replacement needs to be resolved quickly. This game should act as a spoon-fed opportunity for other guys on the team to get their feet wet before going to Florida next week and hosting Arkansas the week after.
