Kevin: Missouri is such a wild team to bet on, starting the season 0-2 against the spread, with two relatively unimpressive wins against cupcakes and a few lingering questions on the defensive side of the ball but UCONN sits as a 21-point dog for a reason. Week three is still a prime opportunity for teams playing weaker opponents to experiment with lineups and rotations, and for that reason i’ll say that Missouri falls to 0-3 against the spread. UCONN +21.
John: If you’re considering betting on this game, I want you to step away from your computer / put down your mobile device and slowly walk away. Then, call Gamblers Anonymous. Because, c’mon. HOWEVER, I actually agree with Kevin here. Missouri is horrible against the spread and for a team ranked in the top 25, they sure are underwhelming. If you’re a top-25 caliber team, it should be illegal to open the season against SE Missouri State, Arkansas State and UConn. I’m taking UConn +21 for that reason alone.
