Kevin: The biggest game of the year in the SEC is upon us, and it looks as though college football’s most reliable rivalry will once again have a big say in the playoff picture. Both teams have had two weeks to prepare, but I would argue that Alabama needed a rest badly, playing through plenty of fatigue in a narrow win over Tennessee in its last outing. The nation seems to still be in love with Alabama, but I think it’s once again Les Miles’ year. LSU +6.5

John: I’m torn here. Because as Les Miles once put it, the LSU-Bama match up is big boy football. And one reason why is that the Tigers consistently match up well against Alabama. Like last year’s affair, this game almost always comes down to a single possession. Yet the Tide has won six of eight, having won three straight in the post-tea-bagging era.

Till this year. Call it happenstance. Call it karma. Or call it football. I’m just gonna call it an upset. LSU gets the outright win. LSU +6.5.
