8. Will there be a newcomer surprise?
None of the eligible newcomers came in rated incredibly high, but G Shembari Phillips, wing Admiral Schofield and F Kyle Alexander all bring a lot of potential and upside. Phillips, especially, showed a ton of athleticism and scoring power in the Rocky Top League this summer. Schofield brings some physicality and Alexander, with a huge frame and long wingspan, could be the next great Canadian player developed by Barnes and his staff if things fall into place for him. This team will, almost undoubtedly, be powered by returning players, but keep an eye on those three to help the Vols in spots.
