Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt Pregame Notes

• Scouts from the Oakland Raiders are in attendance. A bowl rep from the Russell Athletic Bowl is also in attendance. That bowl has no affiliation with the SEC, though there has been some talk of Vanderbilt potentially being a 5-7 bowl team if there aren’t enough 6-6 teams for bowl eligibility this year.

• The field still looks fairly rough with some noticeable wear and tear on it. Butch Jones said the turf management team has been doing everything it can since the North Texas game a couple weeks ago, but obviously there’s only so much that can be done on a short-term basis.

• Preston Williams (hamstring) is in uniform and going through warm-ups. He saw limited snaps at Missouri last week. There’s no sign of Marquez North or Jauan Jennings in warm-ups at this point. Josh Smith, Von Pearson and Josh Malone are the starting WRs in warm-ups.

• Brett Kendrick and Jashon Robertson, two linemen who have been banged up recently, are both going through the warm-ups. The starting offensive line in warm-ups was Kyler Kerbyson, Jashon Robertson, Coleman Thomas, Dylan Wiesman and Chance Hall.

• CB Darrell Miller, LB Quart’e Sapp, RB John Kelly and OL Drew Richmond are among the other players not dressed out.
