Defensive Line
The defensive line certainly shares some of the blame for giving the Vanderbilt run game space early, but this unit also did a great job getting after the passer. Derek Barnett recorded a pair of sacks, including one that led to a safety. Barnett (9 sacks) is tied for third in the SEC at the conclusion of the regular season. LaTroy Lewis also got to Shurmur once. The future is extremely bright for this group that brings almost everybody back for next year and will add several talented players back from injury in 2016.
