8. Joshua Dobbs is a gamer, but his accuracy remains inconsistent

Joshua Dobbs-1-8

You can’t question Joshua Dobbs’ effort in 2015. He ran the ball, caught the ball, made several big timely throws and never stopped battling despite some adversity and being less than 100% at times. He proved that he’s a leader for this program and can put UT in position to win against anybody in the country. He never completely took that next step as a passer in the 2015 regular season, however. His completion rate and passer efficiency rating both fell a bit this season – his first full year as a starter. He’s shown he can make all the throws, but struggles to do it on a consistent basis. If he can make some improvements there in 2016, perhaps under a new QBs coach, he’ll have a chance to be among the SEC’s best players.
