Hurd watch: Some rumors and reports have circulated about the health of Jalen Hurd, who may be nursing a hamstring injury. The good news for Vol fans is that he’s on the field and going through warm-ups. He was the first back to take a hand off from Joshua Dobbs in the first drill they saw. It’s hard to say if he’s full speed or not, but he definitely is stretching a little extra and looking to stay loose.
Hurd lined up with the first team when it went through plays shortly before the game.
Injury updates: Receiver Preston Williams, Marquez North and linemen Jashon Robertson and Brett Kendrick, players who missed time near the end of the season, are all in uniform, going through warm-ups and all should be good to play at as healthy of a level as they have in awhile.
Curt Maggitt, Venzell Boulware, Drew Richmond, Darrell Taylor, Austin Sanders, Cody Blanc, Quart’e Sapp, Joe Young and Darrell Miller are among the players not dressed out for UT.
