1. S Nigel Warrior
He isn’t committed, and the Vols will have to hold off Georgia, Alabama, Auburn and others for Dale Carter’s son. But if Tennessee can land Warrior, the nation’s No. 2 safety according to 247Sports, he could have a chance to come in and play early for the Vols. Seniors Brian Randolph and LaDarrell McNeil are moving on. We’ve seen enough from Todd Kelly Jr. to know that he should be fine at safety, but outside of him, there aren’t a lot of proven commodities. Nobody questions Evan Berry’s athleticism, but he struggled at times in his chances at safety in 2015. Stephen Griffin is the only other returning scholarship true safety, though they could shift some guys around if need be. Regardless, Warrior would have a great chance to play early.
