According to a report by Jimmy Hyams that was confirmed by Football Scoop, Tennessee’s strength and conditioning coach Dave Lawson is no longer handling daily football workouts for the Vols but is still with the team.

Lawson came with Butch Jones when he was hired as Tennessee’s head coach in December of 2012. Lawson has been the strength and conditioning coach with the Vols for all three seasons Butch  Jones has been at the helm of the football team.

No reason has yet been given as to why Lawson’s duties have changed. No replacement if he were to no longer be the strength and conditioning coach have been named at this time, but Michael Szerszen is the Associate Director of Strength Coach for Tennessee, and there’s a strong possibility he would assume Lawson’s duties. We will bring you more details as they come.
