Player measurements can be a very inexact science in the world of sports. Tennessee defensive end signee Jonathan Kongbo III, the top-rated JUCO player in the nation in the 2016 class per 247Sports, gave some proof, however, that he is bulking up.

Kongbo was listed as 255 pounds on the Arizona Western roster in 2015 and then 260 pounds by Tennessee when the Vols announced his signing in February, and according to his tweet on Wednesday, he’s already up over the 270-pound mark.
Tennessee fans were already looking forward to seeing the freakishly-athletic defensive lineman play in 2016 when he arrives in Knoxville, and now they have ever bigger reasons to be excited.
Kongbo joins what could be an elite group of pass rushers that will include Derek Barnett, Corey Vereen, Kyle Phillips, Kongbo and several others next season.
