After receiving an offer in March of 2016, Bateman picked visited Knoxville for the Orange and White Game on April 16, 2016. He’s still in the early stages of his recruitment, though UT appears to have a good shot to be seriously considered. Alabama and Auburn will be schools to watch, though neither has officially offered him as of May.

 How He Fits

Bateman looks like a college offensive tackle from a size standpoint in his high school film. And while he might not be a top-level athlete for his size, he does a good job getting to the second level on blocks and punishing linebackers in the process.
