2. No SEC Championships since 1998
While it hasn’t been that long since UT claimed the East, you have to back a big further to find UT’s last outright SEC title in football: 1998. Tennessee reeled off back-to-back conference titles in 1997-98, but hasn’t claimed one since despite three opportunities. The full SEC title feels relatively distant for UT at this point given the West’s recent dominance over the East.
