Defensive Line
Aside from Derek Barnett’s sack to close out the first half, Tennessee’s defensive line didn’t get a sack. Only three of the Vols’ eight tackles for loss came from the defensive line. The line helped slow down Vandy’s rushing attack until the fourth quarter, but then the bottom fell out. And the line failed to get much of a pass rush all night, and Kyle Shurmur was able to have a career night because of it.
