The group of players in the state of Tennessee in the 2017 recruiting class were loaded with talent. But as deep and highly-rated as that class was, the in-state prospects in the 2018 class might be even deeper and more talented. And that bodes well for the Vols.
Despite a down year in terms of in-state recruiting in the 2017 class, the Vols are in great position with much of the state’s top talent for this recruiting cycle. The Vols already have commitments from several in-state players as seven of the Vols’ 11 pledges are from recruits in the state of Tennessee. And the Vols are still in on several other prospects in the state.
