Overall
Tennessee did enough to win, and that’s what matters most. Georgia Tech cost themselves the game because of mistakes and sloppy play at times, and that was caused by the Vols’ tenacity even after getting burned time and time again. The Vols forced two turnovers and scored touchdowns off them both, blocked the potential game-winning field goal as time expired, and stopped Tech’s two-point conversion attempt in the second overtime. It wasn’t pretty, but Tennessee overcame adversity and did the little things correctly when it mattered most.
