Tennessee’s offense finally looked competent, but lack of execution and poor play-calling once again doomed the Vols. The players didn’t look prepared in many situations, and many of the nine penalties Tennessee committed were because of lack of discipline. And that directly reflects coaching. The Vols have no excuse for losing this game after out-gaining Kentucky and finishing with a plus-four turnover margin. Coaching and execution cost them.
