Linebackers
Quart’e Sapp and Daniel Bituli had strong performances, but LSU’s run game was able to wear down the defense as the game went on and eventually began bypassing the defensive line and linebackers both. The Vols’ linebacking corps did a solid job at the start, but they eventually tired and couldn’t hold up. They also weren’t consistent in pass coverage on the rare occasions they were asked to do so.
