The Vols extended an offer to versatile athlete Joshua Moore this weekend, and they figure to pursue him as a cornerback though he is a more than capable receiver as well.

Tennessee’s old coaching staff under Butch Jones were pursuing Moore as a receiver, but Pruitt and his staff are looking at Moore as a corner. Moore is a four-star corner/receiver and is rated as the No. 86 overall player in the country and is in the top 10 players in the state of Texas in the 2018 class.

Moore did everything imaginable for Yoakum High School as a senior. He threw a few passes, carried the ball, caught passes, returned kicks and punts, and played in the secondary. He totaled 1,014 yards of offense and 14 touchdowns, returned six kicks and five punts, and picked off a pass as a senior according to Max Preps.

The 6-foot-1, 170 pound athlete holds offers from Alabama, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida State, and many others. He holds around four dozen scholarship offers.
