Visitors:

Coynis Miller, DT
Maurice Washington, RB
Nikko Hall, S
Caleb Okechukwu, DE

The second batch of visitors for the Vols is bigger than the first, and it’s comprised of players who will fit into Jeremy Pruitt’s new defensive scheme and another running back.

Coynis Miller is a massive four-star defensive tackle who is currently committed to Auburn. At 6-foot-1, 300 pounds, Miller would be a perfect nose tackle in Pruitt’s 3-4 defensive scheme. It will take a lot to flip him from Auburn, but Pruitt and his staff believe they can do so.

Okechukwu is the Vols’ most recent offer in the 2018 class, as Pruitt and his staff just offered him a scholarship on January 6th. But the Vols immediately leaped to near the top of his list after the offer, and Tennessee is the first SEC offer he’s picked up. He’s a three-star defensive end who could project to be an outside linebacker in Tennessee’s defense.

Hall is an athletic safety out of California who the Vols have been targeting ever since Pruitt took over as head coach. Washington is also a very recent offer for the Vols, as he just picked up an offer from Tennessee on January 2nd. Washington recently stood out during the Under Armour All-America game as he earned MVP honors after setting a record by scoring three touchdowns in the game. Though he’s just a three-star back, Washington’s recruitment has picked up steam immensely over the last few weeks.
