Only one member of the RTI team believes cornerback Shaq Wiggins will get drafted, and he’s making a bit of a bold prediction on that front.
Wiggins barely saw the field for Tennessee in his lone season with the Vols. Wiggins was a grad transfer last offseason and came to Tennessee in hopes of immediate playing time after injuries plagued his 2016 season with Louisville. He had been a productive corner for the Cardinals before the injuries robbed him of his last year there, and many hoped he could bring some more valuable depth to Tennessee’s secondary.
But Wiggins was rarely used, and when he was it was often on special teams. It’s highly unlikely he’ll get drafted even with his solid showing at Tennessee’s Pro Day earlier this year. He can find a home on a practice squad, though.
