Tennessee vs. ETSU, Sept. 8th
ETSU’s football program returned after an 11-year hiatus in 2015, and current Tennessee Athletics Director Phillip Fulmer had a hand in helping to bring back the Bucs’ football program. They’ll be headed up by former UT offensive coordinator Randy Sanders as he gets his first shot at being a head coach. The Vols should be able to hand their business fairly easily in their home opener, but they may take it a little easy on Sanders and his ETSU squad in a game where Tennessee could easily break into the 50s or 60s. Tennessee will be the first Power Five program the Bucs have played since being reinstated in 2015.
