Five Biggest Positives So Far from Vols in 2018

Undeniable Effort

The results in the win/loss column still aren’t what Vol fans want, but Tennessee over the last couple weeks and for most of this season has been showing a lot of effort on the field and haven’t looked demoralized like they did last season.

Both Jeremy Pruitt and Tennessee AD Phillip Fulmer have praised the Vols’ attitude and “strain” the last two weeks in SEC play. The Vols never quit despite falling behind early to both Florida and No. 2 Georgia the last two weeks, and UT’s effort on Saturday against the Bulldogs even made Pruitt a little emotional after the game.

Teams and coaches are judged on wins and losses, and right now the Vols still are getting too many of the latter and not enough of the former. But Tennessee looked lackluster and like they were walking through the motions for a lot of last year, and that’s simply not the case this season.
