How to Watch: Tennessee vs. No. 1 Alabama

It’s the Third Saturday in October once again. And the Vols are about to take on what could be the best Alabama football team in modern history.

Tennessee (3-3, 1-2 SEC) will host No. 1 Alabama (7-0, 4-0) on Saturday for their annual cross-division rivalry game. The Vols are fresh off an upset win on the road over No. 21 Auburn while Alabama handled Missouri 39-10 last weekend.

The Tide enter today’s game without having gone through a bye week yet, and the Vols are just a week removed from theirs. But fatigue doesn’t seem to be an issue for Alabama this year, as they’ve won every game they’ve played by at least 22 points.

A big question surrounding Alabama for today’s game is the status of star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The sophomore QB exited last week’s game with a banged up knee, but he’s been practicing for the Tide this week. His backup, Jalen Hurts, is 2-0 against Tennessee in his career as Alabama’s quarterback.

Tennessee has lost 11 consecutive games to Alabama, and eight of those 11 loses have come by 20 or more points. The Tide are massive favorites in this game once again, and the Vols will have their hands full as Jeremy Pruitt faces off against his mentor, Nick Saban, for the first time.
