Rick Barnes signed his first five-star at Tennessee last recruiting cycle when he and his staff brought in Josiah-Jordan James in the 2019 class. James, just like Harris and Hopson, was a McDonald’s All-American, and he was named the 2019 Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of South Carolina.

So far, James’ impact has yet to be felt, as he’s only played in two games in his Tennessee career. The freshman suffered a minor injury in the offseason and is still knocking off the rust from being unable to practice for about a month leading into the season.

In his first two games, James has played a total of 56 minutes and has totaled seven points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
