Guarantano enters the spring as Tennessee’s starter — for now. That could all change depending on how he and the rest of the QBs in the group performn
Rising sophomore Brian Maurer and rising redshirt sophomore J.T. Shrout went through winter conditioning and have another year under their belts. Those two are likely the co-backups right now, but incoming five-star early enrollee Harrison Bailey will press them — and Guarantano — for their spots.
Don’t overlook fellow early enrollee Jimmy Holiday, as the dynamic playmaker looks to prove himself as a passer and as more than a running threat. Walk-on Kasim Hill could be an interesting one to keep an eye on, too.
