Titans vs. Packers Game Preview
Sunday night football, NFLs game of the week. The Tennessee Titans travel to Green Bay, Wisconsin to face the top NFC seeded Packers featuring MVP candidate Aaron Rodgers. A battle between two legitimate playoff contenders, the Titans come into the game 10-4 while the Packers are 11-3. This is perhaps the most entertaining game of the week. The Titans offer a fascinating matchup for Green Bay who typically do not play well against strong running backs. The total is the highest in the NFL this week at 56.5.
The Titans appear to be back to near full health. This combined with the continuous progression of Ryan Tannehill, A.J. Brown, and the dominance from Derrick Henry make the Titans a formidable opponent for anyone. The Packers were annihilated on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week 6 NFL action. This was an embarrassing loss and has stained their season, regardless of their 11-3 record. They will want to come out blazing against an incredibly strong Titans offense that averages 31 points per game.

NFL Week 16 Injury Report
CB Adoree Jackson returned from the IR last week and started at corner. He is a much needed playmaker for their defensive secondary.
OL Rodger Saffold played last week after being listed as questionable. We could expect him to play again this week even if he does not practice.
S Kenny Vaccaro did not play last week against the Lions. He started off this week with a practice however. He is on a great pace to play this week.
Green Bay Packers
EDGE Za’Darius Smith went down last week at the end of their Saturday night game against the Panthers. He was limited in practice putting him on pace to play.
LB Rashan Gary was injured during their Saturday game against the Panthers. He was limited and is expected to return without issue.
C Corey Linsley has been on IR for the minimum three weeks. He has not been activated to return from IR yet so he is best listed as a longshot to play.
AFC South Standings After Week 15
- Tennessee Titans 10-4
- Indianapolis Colts 10-4
- Houston Texans 4-10
- Jacksonville Jaguars 1-13
Implied Win Probability – Titans 40% Packers 63.64%
Implied win probability is crucial to bet when you believe the odds are in your favor. This calculation will help bettors take theoretical odds and put them into literal percentages. The percentages indicate the chance you have of your bet hitting based on the odds you are given. It is also a fantastic way to calculate the vig that a sportsbook is charging.
In this case, the Titans are +150 on DraftKings Sportsbook. This would land them a 40% chance to win Sunday nights marquee matchup. Conversely, the Green Bay Packers are -175 to win their home game against the Titans. This would indicate a 63.64% chance to win the game. By adding these two numbers together, you will understand that DraftKings is charging a 3.64% vig.
Titans 1st in PPG vs. Packers 3rd in PPG
These two offenses are electric. The total on the game is set at 56 which is the largest total in the NFL this week. These two teams do not play often either meaning the defenses will be guessing more times than not. Expect this one to be an absolute shootout. Tannehill had five touchdowns in their game against the Lions.
Derrick Henry to run through Wisconsin?
The Packers have struggled against teams that run the ball and rush the passer. The Titans only do one of these things well. Their pass rush is an abomination but Derrick Henry is the best running back in the league. If the Titans defense was better I could talk myself into a Titans win. Instead, we will go with the over. Both defenses leave a lot to be desired.
DraftKings Best Bet: Over 56
