The Vols are back in the winning column after defeating Missouri 62-24 on Saturday evening. With the win, Tennessee moves to 3-2 on the year, splitting their two SEC games. The Vols will take on their third straight SEC opponent this weekend, however, it will be in Tennessee’s SEC home opener.

Tennessee’s first two SEC games of the year were both on the road at Florida and Missouri. However, Tennessee will host South Carolina in front of their home fans in Knoxville at noon ET.

To begin the week like normal, Tennessee HC Josh Heupel held his traditional Monday press conference. During his time with the media, Heupel gave his reactions to the Missouri game after being able to watch the game film over the weekend. Heupel spoke about the team’s preparation, and why it is so important both leading up to and during the game.

Heupel also spoke about a few players in particular on Monday. Heupel talked about Tiyon Evans and what makes him so important to the offense, as well as Cade Mays after being named the SEC offensive lineman of the week. Additionally, Heupel also gave some clarification on his starting quarterback after Hooker’s performance on Saturday.

One of the most exciting plays from Saturday’s game was Evans’ 92-yard rushing touchdown. After Heupel’s press conference on Monday, Tennessee offensive lineman Ollie Lane spoke about his perspective of the play, along with other thoughts from the game.

Tennessee (3-2, 1-1 SEC) will host South Carolina (3-2, 0-2 SEC) this Saturday from Neyland Stadium. Lastly, ESPN2 will have the broadcast.
