Tennessee Bowl Projections: Sunshine, Lonestar, or the Tri-Star State?

Another week of the fall has come, which means another round of Tennessee bowl projections has hit the internet. Except for this time, it is a little different, considering the teams now have a final regular-season record. Besides the teams that are competing for a conference championship, the final records are set, and the projections are out.

Tennessee officially became bowl eligible in Week 12 after defeating South Alabama. The Vols then followed that game with a win against Vanderbilt in the final week of the season, officially moving Tennessee to 7-5 in the regular season.

The Vols have had a number of projections throughout the second half of the season, and the same can be said for this week as well. The most common projections have put the Vols in Charlotte and Nashville. However, there has been a few Florida bowl games added to the list this year, with Memphis and Houston in the mix as well.

From an opponent perspective, Penn State is one of the more fascinating projections that has been repeated in the last few weeks. The Nittany Lions and Volunteers have the same record through the end of the season, and both teams are in the Top 10 in all-time program wins. Miami, Kansas State, and Wisconsin have also been common projections throughout the year, and have resurfaced for the week-after-the-season projections.

The final bowl selections will be announced this upcoming Sunday, Dec. 5.

Without any further hesitation, here is a collection of Tennessee bowl projections from around the internet, with locations, opponents, and dates.
