The top-ranked wide receiver from the state of South Carolina in the class of 2024 has announced an upcoming visit to Knoxville. On Monday evening, Mazeo Bennett made the announcement that he would be visiting the Tennessee football program this Saturday, July 30.

While Tennessee is still working on building their class of 2023, the Vols have also gotten out to an excellent jump start on the class of 2024 this summer as well. The Vols already have two commitments to the class of 2024 in five-star EDGE Jonathan Echols and three-star EDGE Carson Gentle. Now, after two strong pieces for Rodney Garney’s defensive unit in the trenches, Tennessee will look to impress an offensive weapon while in Knoxville this weekend.

Bennett ranks as a four-star prospect across all four major recruiting publishers – ESPN, 247, On3, and Rivals. Additionally, according to On3’s consensus rankings, Bennett is the No. 213 prospect nationally, the No. 17 ATH in the class, and the No. 3 player from the state of South Carolina.

Mazeo Bennett has been collecting scholarship offers here in the early stages of his 2024 recruitment. So far, Bennett has 17 scholarship offers including  Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Florida State, Penn State, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

In late May, Bennett took his first trip to Knoxville. Bennett posted a video to Twitter of himself going through the Peyton Manning Room on Tennessee’s campus.

Now, according to his post on Monday night, Mazeo Bennett is ready to see what else the Tennessee program has in store this weekend.

Currently, according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, Tennessee still does have some ground to make up. South Carolina leads Bennett’s recruitment at 31.1 percent, followed by North Carolina at 20.5 percent, Tennessee at 11.9 percent, and Georgia at 5.2 percent.
