Football fans in the East think they have the best rivals. Some folks in the Midwest think their rivalries are the best. But you can find heated NFL rivalries out west in California too. For Monday Night Football when the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers renew the SoCal vs. NoCal series, the Caesars Sportsbook Promo Code STARTFULL gives new users a $1,250 free bet.

Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers Preview & Pick

If there’s one thing to remember when betting this game, it’s that in each of the last five games the Rams have played, the total has gone Under.

While Matt Stafford and Cooper Kupp are arguably the most exciting (and successful) passing/receiving duo in the NFL, that shouldn’t cause you to overreact and bet the Over. Be careful with player props for passing/receiving yards and TDs too. This MNF game could be much more defense-dominated than you may think.

So far in 2022, the 49ers’ defense has allowed four TDs — two through the air. They haven’t surrendered a TD via the pass at all since week 1. The San Fran secondary is physical but disciplined. As they say, the best pass defense is a good pass rush, and the 49ers have pressure up front too.

Stafford has been erratic thus far with five interceptions and four TD passes. He’s been sacked nine times. Yes, nine times. If the Rams can’t protect their quarterback, this will be a low-scoring, lopsided game.

Something has to give. The 49ers are 5-0 against the point spread in their last five games in San Francisco. Yet, the Rams are 5-0 in their last five games on the road, including a playoff game last season.

Best Bet for Rams at 49ers

We used the Caesars Same-Game Parlay builder to make this bet for Monday’s game between the Rams and 49ers:

  • Matthew Stafford Total Passing Yards Under 252.5
  • Matthew Stafford Total Passing Completions Under 23.5
  • Robbie Gould Total Made Field Goals Over 1.5

The odds for this parlay are +388, meaning a $100 winning wager would get you $388, plus your original stake back.

We don’t expect Stafford to have time to throw the passes that make the Rams offense go. We do expect this to be a mid-range scoring game — something like 21-16, with plenty of field goals.
