Bengals Hope Ravens’ Defensive Prowess is Nevermore
Edgar Alan Poe was writing about a bird, not a cat, but it will be the Bengals “rapping at the chamber door” in Baltimore on Sunday night during an AFC North clash.
There was a time when the Ravens’ defense was “ghastly grim” for opponents like the famous poem, but Baltimore has allowed the most yards of any AFC team through four games. Most of that has come through the air: the Ravens D has surrendered 315 passing yards per game.
That should make Joe Burrow excited to get on the field Sunday night, but the Cincy QB has been uneven so far this season.
As goes Burrow, so goes the Bengals. In the first two games of the season, Burrow had a 69.3 QBR.
