Heading into Week 7, both teams are sitting at a disappointing 2-4. Arizona is currently at the bottom of the NFC West while New Orleans is third in the NFC South, just one game ahead of the lowly Carolina Panthers.
Both teams are dealing with injuries which is never good but is particularly worrisome on a short week. The Cardinals will be without wide receiver Marquise Brown indefinitely, while the team lost left guard Justin Pugh for the season to an ACL injury suffered this past Sunday.
As far as positive news, DeAndre Hopkins is slated to return following his six-game PED suspension. The Cards also made a trade for Carolina receiver Robbie Anderson, although it’s unknown how involved he’ll be for Week 7.
For New Orleans, the team could be without Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry at receiver, guard Andrus Peat, and corner Marshon Lattimore. On the plus side, Chris Olave should return to the lineup after missing last week due to a concussion.
