Injury Report: Only Two Vols Inactive Against Kentucky

Tennessee third string quarterback Tayven Jackson and linebacker Kwauze Garland are the only Vols unavailable in Saturday night’s showdown against Kentucky.

Reserve linebacker Kwauze Garland is missing his seventh straight game, not dressing out since the Vols’ season opening win over Ball State. Garland recorded one tackle in the win.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel announced Jackson would miss the game earlier this week after he was injured against UT Martin. Jackson has been in a sling this week.

Tennessee receiver Cedric Tillman is back in the lineup after missing the last four games while recovering from an an ankle surgery. With Tillman out, receivers Ramel Keyton and Jalin Hyatt have stepped up in a major way.

Questionable Vols Kamal Hadden, Christian Charles, Jaylen McCollough and Gerald Mincey are all dressed out and available. How much they play is still to be determined.

Brandon Turniage and De’Shawn Rucker were announced as Tennessee’s starters at corner instead of Charles and Hadden inside Neyland Stadium . Left tackle Jeremiah Crawford was announced as a starter instead of Mincey.

McCollough announced as the starter at safety after missing the last two games due to legal issue.

Kick off between the Vols and Wildcats is at 7 p.m. ET. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe are on the call for ESPN.
