Sports bettors will have an opportunity to put some money down on a championship football game this weekend — the 109th Grey Cup, the championship game for the Canadian Football League. For novice bettors looking to start their sports betting journey, this is a great game to use one of many betting bonuses and promo codes available at online sportsbooks.
Of course, when it comes to sportsbook promos, reviewing the terms and conditions before signing up is a must. Let’s look at some of the sportsbook bonuses and promo codes new bettors can use when betting on the Grey Cup Sunday night (kickoff will be at 6 pm ET).
Best Grey Cup Betting Bonuses and Promo Codes
Here are the promos for four of the major online sportsbooks available to bettors around the country:
TN Sportsbook | Bonus Offer | Bonus Link |
---|---|---|
BetMGM | Bet $5, Get $158 in bonus bets | Claim Bonus — Use Code ROCKYBET |
FanDuel | Bet $5, Get $150 in Bonus Bets Guaranteed | Claim Bonus |
Caesars Sportsbook | Get a first bet on Caesars of up to $1,000 | Claim Bonus — Use Code STARTGET |
DraftKings Promo Code: Claim up to $1,050 in Bonuses
New users with DraftKings Sportsbook can enjoy a $50 free bet immediately as long as they deposit a minimum of $5 to their account once they register. However, to make the most of the promo code, bettors may want to consider depositing more than $5. Why? Because DraftKings will match 20% of that initial deposit up to $1000.
If you go with the minimum deposit of $5, you’ll get a $1 bonus. For the maximum amount ($1,000), new bettors will need to deposit $5000.
No code is needed, but you will need to visit the DraftKings website to get started.
BetMGM Bonus Code ROCKYBET: Grab a $1,000 Risk-Free Wager
To take advantage of BetMGM’s $1,000 risk-free bet offer, new users need to visit the BetMGM Sportsbook website and enter the promo code ROCKYBET in the appropriate space when directed during the registration process. Once you finish the registration process, you must make your first deposit and then place a bet on either Toronto or Winnipeg to win the Grey Cup.
Let’s say you want to roll the dice and bet on the underdog Argonauts to win via the moneyline. Should they go on to win — fantastic! Enjoy the payout! But if they lose, BetMGM will credit your account with free bets equal in value to your stake, up to $1,000.
You do not have to bet $1,000, but if you bet more and lose, BetMGM will only credit your account with $1,000 in free bets.
Caesars Promo Code STARTFULL: Pick up a $1,250 First Bet on Caesars
To claim your Caesars betting bonus, you must enter the promo code STARTFULL when prompted during the registration process. Once you make a deposit, you can place your bet on Sunday’s Grey Cup, knowing you have the security of a risk-free first bet with a max value of $1250.
How does it work? Let’s say you bet $1,000 on the under (48 points), and the final score ends up 35-23. Since the total was over 48 points, you would lose the bet. But since this is your first bet with Caesars and your first bet is risk-free thanks to the promo code, Caesars will credit your account with $1,250 in free bets.
FanDuel Promo Code: Claim a $1,000 No Sweat First Bet
Like with DraftKings, no code is needed to claim your No Sweat, First Bet betting bonus with FanDuel Sportsbook. But you will need to click on our exclusive FanDuel Promo Code link, register for a new account, and then make a qualifying deposit. Should you bet on Winnipeg and the Blue Bombers win — great! You won your bet! But if they lose, FanDuel will credit your account with free bets equal in value to your stake up to $1,000.
Remember, no matter which sportsbook promo you claim, they all come with terms and conditions. You will want to review them before claiming a betting bonus. About that game…

If there is pressure on anyone in this game, it’s the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Why? Two reasons— (1) they’ve been a force to be reckoned with for the last two seasons losing just regular season games in each season (11-3 in 2021 and 15-3 in 2022), and (2) with a win, they can make history.
No one has won three consecutive Grey Cups (2021 and 2022) since Edmonton won five in a row from 1978-82.
Toronto will not make it easy, of course. The Argonauts certainly didn’t when these two teams met back in Week 4, a game the Blue Bombers won 23-22. Winnipeg was in control for much of that game and led 17-3 at the half. But the Argonauts put up a solid fight in the second half and had a chance to tie the game after scoring a touchdown with 30 seconds left to play.
But they missed the conversion kick.
Toronto will likely lean on their quarterback, Mcleod Bethel-Thompson, who led the league in passing yards this year with 4,731. But it will be tough sledding against a Blue Bombers defense that ranked No. 2 against the pass (240.6 ypg allowed). Then again, in that Week 4 game, Bethel-Thompson completed 73% of his passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns, along with two interceptions (one of which was a pick-6).
Winnipeg will undoubtedly lean on its superstar quarterback, Zach Collaros, who has a shot at becoming the first back-to-back Most Outstanding Player winner since Anthony Calvillo won in 2008 and 2009. However, his health is in question after he got rolled up on a play toward the end of last week’s game.
Collaros missed practice on Wednesday but should play.
Betting Analysis
Toronto has a solid passing game and has already proven they can gain some yards against the Blue Bombers secondary. Andrew Harris is a reliable running back and ran for 100+ against Winnipeg in Week 4. He would love a big game against the team he helped win the last two Grey Cups.
But the Blue Bombers are the complete team of the two. The Argonauts may see some early success on both sides of the ball but look for Winnipeg to start locking things down in the second quarter. By the time the fourth quarter rolls around, the Blue Bombers will have control of the game.
Our Pick: Blue Bombers via the moneyline
