DraftKings Super Bowl 2023 Prop Bets

Prop bets have grown in popularity over the last few years and are a focal point for Super Bowl betting. DraftKings Sportsbook is one of the industry leaders when it comes to the number of prop markets available for the big game.

These are three of my favorite prop bets for Super Bowl 57.

  • First touchdown to be a rushing TD (+160): We know the Eagles have one of the best rushing offenses in the NFL, as evidenced by their league-leading 32 rushing touchdowns during the regular season. Philadelphia also has seven postseason rushing touchdowns, including four against San Francisco who had a stifling rushing defense this year. On the Chiefs’ side, the Eagles’ defensive weakness is against the run. We could also see some creativity near the goalline for Kansas City, as 11 non-QBs have logged a rush attempt for the Chiefs this year.
  • Patrick Mahomes most consecutive completions, under 6.5 (+110): I’m taking the chance here based on two simple factors: the Eagles have had one of the best passing defenses all year and the Chiefs are pretty thin when it comes to reliable receiving options outside of Travis Kelce. Mahomes has had the seventh-most dropped passes among quarterbacks at 28 and the Eagles had the fourth-most passes broken up during the regular season at 85.
  • Any non-QB to have a passing touchdown (+2200): Speaking of creativity, it’s always fun to root for a trick play. I think this is most likely to come from Kansas City, as there have only been two seasons under Andy Reid in which there hasn’t been at least one pass attempt by a non-QB. For Philadelphia, we haven’t seen a pass attempt from anyone not named Jalen Hurts or Gardner Minshew this year. We have, however, seen it in the past. Philly Philly, anyone?
