The upcoming Madden 24 video game is set to release on August 15 in time for the NFL season on the horizon.

That release date will also be right in the middle of the Vols’ fall camp schedule en route to the season-opening game against Virginia on Sept. 2 in Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.

One of the most anticipated aspects of the video game for the stat-heads out there are the illustrious player rankings that either change or are given out based on the player for the upcoming season. Patrick Mahomes, for instance, takes over the coveted 99 rating after a Super Bowl victory last season.

There are several former Tennessee players that are preparing for the NFL season on various rosters around the league, including well-known names such as Joshua Dobbs, Alvin Kamara, and Cordarelle Patterson. The new year also gives first-time rankings to rookies such as Hendon Hooker, Darnell Wright, and Jalin Hyatt.

Tennessee has two quarterbacks in the game with Hendon Hooker (68) over Joshua Dobbs (63). Alvin Kamara leads the former Vol running backs at 86 with Patterson at 85 and John Kelly Jr. at 65.

The wide receivers are an interesting bunch. The Chargers’ Joshua Palmer (78) leads the way with Jauan Jennings (74) a few points below. The Broncos’ Marquez Callaway (72) comes in next followed by Giants’ rookie Jalin Hyatt (70). Both Cedric Tillman and Velus Jones Jr. come in with a 69 rating.

Other notable rankings include Top 10 pick Darnell Wright (74), Super Bowl champion Trey Smith (82), and CB Cameron Sutton (77).
