Tennessee football has recruited offensive line well during the 2024 recruiting cycle. They’ve landed four offensive line recruits and two four-stars but only one of those prospects and neither of the four-stars will definitively play offensive tackle in college.

The Vols have been top contenders for a number of blue-chip offensive tackles but haven’t landed any to date. That’s what makes four-star Texas offensive tackle Bennett Warren’s Monday commitment so important for Tennessee’s 2024 recruiting class.

A day ahead of Warren’s announcement, Tennessee appears to be the favorite to land the four-star offensive tackle.

Michigan Insider’s Brice Marich and Sam Webb each put in crystal ball predictions Sunday afternoon for Tennessee to land Warren. On3 National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman also put in a RPM for the Vols to land the massive offensive tackle.

The Sugar Land, Texas native is choosing between a top group which includes Oklahoma, Michigan, Tennessee and Texas A&M. However, the Vols and Wolverines have been viewed as the top contenders to land Warren since he took official visits to all four schools in June.

Warren ranks as the nation’s 143rd best prep prospect according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-7, 330 pound lineman ranks as the nation’s No. 8 offensive tackle and the No. 25 player in the state of Texas.

Tennessee’s 2024 recruiting class contains 18 commitments ahead of Warren’s Monday commitment date. The blue-chip recruit hasn’t set an official time to announce his commitment.

The Vols’ 18 commit recruiting class enters the week ranked No. 9 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings. If Tennessee lands Warren, the Vols recruiting class will jump up one spot to No. 8 nationally.
